Nabintu wa Nciko is a Researcher Intern at the Centre for Education Policy and Climate Justice. She previously served as Chair of Faith and Environment at Kabarak University Press, where she led an interdisciplinary initiative addressing the triple planetary crisis through Indigenous Knowledge systems, convening high-level webinars and an annual conference that brought together legal scholars, theologians, activists, and Indigenous knowledge holders to advance climate justice and reparative claims. She has published in the African Human Rights Yearbook (Vol. 8) on the structural exclusion of women from political participation in the DRC and has participated in major international forums in Amsterdam, UK(online) and DRC. Her work focuses on environmental and climate governance, Indigenous peoples’ rights, democracy, and human rights, approaching law as a site of struggle shaped by power, race, and gender. She is fluent in English, French, and Kiswahili.
